North America - Zolo - 02-20-2012 06:51 AM Ask questions and share info about North America here! RE: North America - Zolo - 02-20-2012 08:30 AM test RE: North America - Lynchy - 02-20-2012 03:33 PM You planning any trips to anywhere in N.America anytime soon??? Is it harder for you to gain entry to the U.S compared to other regions you go to? RE: North America - Zolo - 02-20-2012 10:56 PM Not anytime soon, but I don't think they'd like my Syrian visa very much... RE: North America - davidfree - 02-21-2012 12:37 AM Frankly it's difficult to find a worthwhile city in the States. The generic consumer culture so characteristic of America renders any potential moot. There are, however, a few worth checking out. New Orleans - Not the same since the hurricane hit, but still far more intriguing than any other US city. Occult underground, voodoo influences, grime, and eerie vibes, this place will throw you into an inexplicably strange mood. Can't beat the sultry atmosphere. Tons of booze and the woman aren't bad. And of course Mardi Gras, which, I must say, seems to have tamed down a bit in recent years. Too many goddamn cops! Vegas - the debauchery capital, with hookers and gambling and more booze than ten distilleries. Just expect to pay for it. Oakland, CA - weed capital, with a weed town called Oaksterdam and its own pot-growing college! Just look out for the murderers and rapists, especially if you're white. San Francisco - The best of them all. Unique, interesting, with vibrant nightlife and decent culture. It is plagued by that typical American superficiality, but you can't escape that in this country. Lots of girls, and with the highest gay population in the country, the competition isn't nearly as fierce as most places. And the weed...oh, the beautiful, colorful, affordable nugget. Go outside the cities and you have drab suburbs with nothing but shopping centers, ample cops, and snobby sheltered cunts. Little to nothing for free. Sometimes I get the idea that USA is just a giant outdoor shopping mall, a nation of mentally and emotionally neutered laborers with no self respect. Of course I speak generally, not everyone is this way. But as far as travelling, it is wise to go south of the border, or stick to Europe and Asia. There isn't much to offer here. RE: North America - Buddha Head - 02-21-2012 01:54 AM Nomad you got a Syrian visa? Why? RE: North America - planeteater - 02-21-2012 04:52 AM just a quick tip about north american girls, since i grew up in Ontario and annoyed and loved a few of them! sarcasm: it works wonders. they really love it. so many guys say Toronto was a wash out, but those girls can smell a robot pua a mile off. friendly sarcasm puts you miles ahead. RE: North America - Zolo - 02-21-2012 06:43 AM Thanks for the info guys. @BuddhaHead: I just got back from Syria. RE: North America - Buddha Head - 02-21-2012 09:53 PM @Planeteater I'm going to Toronto next week, how is it there man? Well i'll be visiting a friend and shit but I want to have to most fun out of it! RE: North America - planeteater - 02-22-2012 08:48 PM Hey Budda Head. play the indie card in T.O. wear a Smiths t shirt and be a bit cheeky and sarcastic. the girls in Toronto are pretty clued up and arty. smiths or joy division tee, mild sarcasm and strong eye contact and youll be miles better than mr pua opinion opener! also check for indie/electro/dance nights etc. RE: North America - bourbonitis blues - 02-28-2012 06:56 AM (02-21-2012 12:37 AM)davidfree Wrote: Frankly it's difficult to find a worthwhile city in the States. As an American that has plenty of qualms with my country, I find this post to be really shallow. America has tons of culture, and there are a bunch of cities with really nice vibes. The consumerism is definitely a thing, but it's only one side of the coin. You left out great cities like Austin, NYC, and Chicago. The city I'm from prides itself on hospitality and friendliness. Though it only has a few hundred thousand people there's plenty of things to do--great food, bars, and a unique culture. I've had bunches of people visit me from abroad, no one hasn't loved the place. I used to think in a similar way as you, but it's a really narrow-minded view. Remember, 90% of good music comes out of America or has American roots. Also tons of great literature and art. And yes, I'm leaving. RE: North America - bigbootyluvr - 03-02-2012 07:49 PM I wouldn't waste your time here. The women are overly opinionated, have an inflated sense of self worth, and really don't bring much to the table. For example: My fb page is FULL of women who are late 30's, early forties who STILL think they are the hot little prom queen. In other countries they wouldn't be so egotistical, because they know they are competing with young girls. Here they think they are a "cougar" and even enjoy the title. A lot of them front like they are laying golden rooster eggs out of their vajayjays, at least that's the attitude they have. Again, the ROI is not there on them. Shallow, can't cook, can't dance, overly sarcastic, rude, uncultured boobs. Most of them are. If you are a dude from Ireland/england/australia come down here to florida and spit some game with your accent and you'll clean up. Don't shave, wear a lot of cologne and play up your accent and these shallow whores will dive at your feet in any bar. Easy as pie RE: North America - davidfree - 03-11-2012 09:24 AM You want your bones broken? Go to Chicago. You want your bank broken? Go to New York. Never been to Austin. As far as culture goes, it's all been bought out. There was once an abundance of culture in America, not even fifty years ago, but since the corporate takeover it has all been drained. Same dress, same styles, same thoughts... America is boring, dull, whitewashed. And it's expensive. Worst place on the planet to visit. At least danger zones are exciting. There are underground clubs here and there, with perhaps some original music (very rare), but they're cliquey and closed, and not without an exorbitant cover charge. Profit takes precedent over everything here. Naturally everything else will suffer. It's guns or culture in this dump. Save your money and visit Eastern Europe. Mmmm, babes...
