New Year Resolutions 2015

2015 is the year the bear comes out of his cave.

After a year of hedonistic hibernation in New Year, the great beyond beckons once more.

As is tradition, I’m posting my new year’s resolutions. I do this publicly to make me accountable for my actions-even if I don’t always tick all the boxes. I suggest you do the same. If you have a blog, post ’em up. If you don’t, do it on Facebook. Trust me—a little bit of external pressure is a good motivator!

But first, how did I fare concerning last year’s resolutions? To remind you they were:

  1. Continue living in New York City.
  2. Work on building my passive income.
  3. Focus on quality women, abandon sex goals with numbers.
  4. Take up martial arts.

So how did I do?

  1. Check. I successfully got my graduate visa and as I write this, I’m still living it up in NYC!
  2. Half-check. My progress is a little slower than planned, but nonetheless, I’m about half way through my guide book on NYC and  also have 7 chapters written for the sequel to Naughty Nomad. The former should be released later this year and the latter 2016.
  3. Check. I genuinely have stopped the counting game. This has caused the strangest thing to happen—I developed meaningful, loving relationships. The kind of ones where we can go out for dinner and a movie…and even invite other females into our bed. Such arrangements have made me realize that even after living the playboy lifestyle, I’m still capable of pair bonding and feeling genuinely happy with the right chick. *Pukes a little.*
  4. Check. I took up Krav Maga and Brazilian Jujitsu (BJJ).

Here are my goals for 2015.

1. Travel to at least 7 countries.

DropShipping-Large-Outdoor-Molle-Assault-Tactical-Backpack-Military-Rucksack-Backpack-Bag-USA-FreeShippingAfter staying put for over a year now, I’m going fucking nuts! I’m the Naughty Nomad, for Christ’s sake!

7 countries. Usually, I would be more ambitious and say 10-12 countries, but my summer is still up in the air. I’m due to leave NYC in late April, but if granted a six months extension, I won’t be travelling until late Fall. My destination? More than likely Central America or the lesser Antilles. I’m not ruling out South America, either.

If I hit 7 countries, I’ll officially be in triple digits and have visited half the countries in the world!

2.  Release My NYC Guidebook.

NYC oldMy ultimate bachelor’s guide to New York City will hopefully be released this summer.

If you take the amount of money I’ve spent on beer researching bars and venues in the city, this book will make undoubtedly make a net loss. But nonetheless, I feel compelled to share my valuable knowledge with the men of this world. It will contain advice on women, game, nightlife guides, tons of classified info, and of course, they’ll be plenty of stories to be shared, too. T’will be mandatory reading for any man visiting or moving to the city. Watch this space!

3. Get certified to sail bareboat.

bg-home-01After sailing the Hudson and getting my Keelboat cert, I want to take my skills to the next level. Having a Bareboat cert will allow me to charter a vessel anywhere in the world. More than likely I’ll probably do the course down in Miami close to the end of my stay in New York. Avast, me hearties!

4. Lift Very Heavy Things.

barbell-dog-660x438Martial arts and a busy lifestyle have impacted on lifting this year, despite the fact I reached my 1 year goals in March. This year, my goals are simple:

1. Squat 300lbs

2. Deadlift 400lbs

This  is ambitious for a guy my size, but fuck it. I might as well aim high. I’ll be sure to do a post on my progress in the Spring.

Men – you getting old. Your resolutions do sound as if they are from me with 70 years 🙂
    Mine are:
Deflower one virgin (as every year)
Shag minimum 2 new girls per month
Cross Madagascar again on a Honda Transalp
Sail my 28foot boat around in the Phillippines
Visit Cuba before the Americans appear in hordes.
…. and yes – to survive to my 71st…
    Cheers

You do not mention the downside of this rakish lifestyle, is the cost of Viagra knocks a hole in ones pension! After 18 years of marriage (to #3) and being a good boy in that time I could no longer stand it as she had shut up shop, I took steps, long ones out of the door! Within a month I had a string of five women on the go ranging from 18 to 43 I had found heaven at last, OK to do this feat I cheated a little bit, I had Botox on my forehead and around the eyes, and had low-lights to tone down the frosty noggin, also the main thing is to believe in yourself as otherwise you are a non starter, but it can be done I have also proved that there is hope for old farts! David 70 later this year!

What a sad bunch. The naughty nomad is for young adventurers, not old geezers trying to relive what they missed out on in their 20s – you oughta be spending some time around your grandkids (who are probably around the age of the women you’re desperately trying to attract)

I wouldn’t dismiss old guys for trying to relive what they missed out on… Back in the ‘good old days’ a lot of those guys were ‘touring Southeast Asia’.

    Nomad,
Can we expect a NYC or LA city guide?

Between Ny and LA which City had better lookin more approachable chicks?

    • Naughty Nomad January 8, 2015 at 6:01 pm #

I’ll probably do a snapshot guide on LA… and a whole ebook on New York!

Yes, I was going to ask how it is that you haven’t sailed the Carribean yet. My aunt did that in college… Seems like a natural thrill-seeking adventure. Apparently, in Tulum, you have to sail into a narrow channel where you need to line your mast up with the Mayan ruins so you don’t hit the reefs.

Mark man Im surprised you haven’t hit up South America like Roosh did. Colombia sounds good for any man (cheap hot girls).

    Mark
I am glad you moving on and you are not entirely chewing on past,
You also show sense of maturity ….Wish one day you will meet the girl for you man !
No rush …..I only “settled down ” somewhat in my early 30’s when my first son was born.
still – I am living my life the way I want ….”settling down” is a society label tag that in reality does not exists. The truth is that true warriors never stop pushing the envelope ….which ever way the journey of life will take you in 2015 – All Best Mate !

    Naughty Nomad,
Tell me how do you feel about NYC compared to the EE cities you’ve given 5/5 for girls? Is NYC still a better party and easier less attractive birds at the end of the day?
