The Year in Review 2013

Another year has past. It’s hard to believe, but this is the 4th year -in-review. Check out my previous adventures for 20102011, and 2012.

Let’s have a look.

2013 in review

January – Feb

Avast! The year started with a roar, as myself and some friends set sail to siege the most dangerous city in the world: Mogadishu, Somalia. The trip took in Luxembourg, Oman, UAE, Ethiopia, Djibouti and Somaliland and Southern Somalia. Shit got crazy. Smuggling, hyenas, sex, suicide bombers—it had everything that makes a great adventure.

And the best bit? We made a YouTube series out of it! It was released in August. Check it out!

Between the trip and back home, I picked up Zimbabwean, Russian, Omani, and Somali flags.

I write city guides for:

The Naughty Nomad Forum celebrates it’s first birthday.

The Spring

The Somali trip cost a small fortune, so I buckle down and get to work.

I graduate with honors with a Masters in International Relations, finally join the gym, and start a video production company. During this period, I work hard on producing the series above. We also produced our first music video, several web commercials, and get commissioned for some live events.

Summer

I release Version 2.0 of  the Naughty Nomad App FREE, featuring over 500 locations, language hacks and other cool features. Click to link to download yours, now!

I officially make it one year without watching porn.

In July, myself and some friends stage a 10 day siege in the Balkans in which I conquer every country in Eastern Europe. The trip was an absolute blast and took in Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia. I write guides for Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Ljubljana and pick up my Serbian and Slovenian flags along the way.

In August, I release the Naughty Nomad series and celebrate with a trip to Italy, and tick San Marino off the list in the process. I also meet up with a girlfriend from Yerevan in Treviso, and claim a beautiful Armenian virgin as my bounty.

And finally, I reveal my body transformation and post My 6 month Gym Results (with pics). I feel fucking amazing!

The Fall

For my birthday, I book a flight to the Caribbean. The month long trip takes in Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas. I pick up all three flags and write guides for the Jamaican coast, Kingston, Havana and Nassau. I also dish out 5 valuable tips for hooking up in Cuba.

The Winter

The blog hits 5 million+ page views.

new_york_city_panorama_evening_1920x1080At the end of October, I move to New York City! And pending my visa status , I plan to camp in the US for the coming months. Let’s just say, the city has been  kind to me. I’ve met some of the most beautiful, incredible women of my life here. My flag counter reaches 65 with an exotic dancer from Colombia and a glamour model from Singapore. I celebrate Christmas in Ohio in a millionaire’s mansion, with a very sexy visit from Miss Claus.

😉

2013 Stats:

Total Countries visited: 17

New Countries visited: 10 + 1 unofficial (Somaliland)

New Flags Captured: 12

That puts my ultimate goal for travelling to every country in the world at 92/196 or 47%. .

2014 Preview

No fucking idea. For the first time in my life, everything is up in the air. Everything depends on US visa.

Bring it on!

man i hope to see more travel. im sure you will have something great in store. east and south asia maybe, or central and south america.

check out mexico man, baja or vera cruz. you are so close to mexico now, swing through and pick up a flag. and getting a mexican flag in the USA doesnt count. thats like getting a scottish flag in london. like 1/4th of the population of the US is mexicans or some shit.

anyway enjoy the vacation from vacationing and good luck in NYC.

I can’t believe what have you done in one year, I have done nothing and I’m travelling though. I’m not jealous about you, or angry about you. I’m angry about me. Wtf have I done in one ucking year? I really should gear up and chance things in my life. I feal bad ’cause I’m older than you. And if I’m not, I like like it. Damn, please tell me, just give me the one key that will unlock my life. I have done it all, I have changed my question from “what I want in life” to “who i want to be”, and I have found what I love, who I want to be, and it’s all now clearer in my mind. But I’m not doing anything to change my previous life, I’m still doing the things I was doing before because I still enjoy them. What is the answer? Or maybe, what is the question I must ask myself?
