Debriefing: The Siege of the Levant

I’ve gotten a lot of interest about my latest Siege, considering I’ve been pretty much off the radar the last fortnight.  So I’ll debrief you guys…

Me looking over Petra

 Where were you?

The Levant

The Levant: an area that, historically, roughly corresponds to greater Syria. In the modern day, it encompasses:

  • Lebanon
  • Syria
  • Jordan
  • Palestine
  • Israel

Who were the crew?

My Cheeky Crew

At one stage we were four strong. I was joined by Gecko, Dan the man, and one other.

Check out the pic to the right. They were a blast.

What were the Highlights?

Syria: Walking around old town Damascus as  Mexican pirates – getting got up in pro-Assad demonstrations in the meantime. It was fucked up.

Lebanon: New flag. I met a beautiful, sexy Arabic girl – who subsequently fulfilled my ultimate fantasy by dressing up as a belly dancer and giving me an unforgettable erotic performance before mounting me. Best. Lover. Ever.

Jordan:  Highlight was defo dressing up in traditional costume, renting a horse and racing Dan across the mountainous plateaus above Petra. My horse was going so fast we nearly rode of a cliff. What a rush.

Jerusalem: Exploring Old Town. Getting my history on.

Any low lights?

Amman nightlife was brutal. Although I did take a cutie out on a date my last night, the scene was so sedated we decided to skip across the border to Jerusalem for our last night.

That was followed by my second  low light – witnessing Israeli occupation and settlement building in the West Bank – and dealing with Zionist bigotry in the process. It was depressing. A dark history does not justify apartheid. I hope the 1967 borders are honoured some day. But anyway…

So what now?

.

I’m up to 77 countries (including Palestine), meaning my goal towards global conquest is now 39% complete.

Nice.

This week I start my second semester for my masters, so I’m stuck at home for a good while. Although I might be popping over the Amsterdam later this month…

I got a few city guides for guys to look forward to a few stories and cailíns in the pipeline.

Until the next Siege…

Avast!

    “… I’ll debrief you guys…”

Thanks, but just tell us guys about the girls you de-briefed.

  2. Mamey February 7, 2012 at 2:49 pm #

NN, another fantastic tour, great post !
Was the lebanese flag achieved in Beiruth or abroad? How western-minded are this society, at least for dating? Waiting for the city guides. Regards, Mamey

    • Naughty Nomad February 7, 2012 at 4:29 pm #

@Mamey: Beirutians are very liberal. Dating and casual sex is no problem. Everyone speaks great English.

      Border Crossing were OK.

Syria will only give you a visa at the Leb border if you don’t have an embassy in your home country. You also need proof your not a journalist. We arrived with a giant inflatable banana and sombreros – so we looked pretty innocent and they were actually really friendly.

@Troy: The Israeli border guards are tough work. They ask a lot of questions… Luckily, we were dressed as pirates so they didn’t hold us up too long (only about 30 mins).

  3. Mamey February 7, 2012 at 2:52 pm #

NN, how complicated is border-crossing among these countries? Regards, Mamey

  4. Castor Troy February 7, 2012 at 3:01 pm #

Cool post. I had the same question as Mamey. How did you find crossing the border from Jordan in to the West Bank? I’ve only been to Israel once and I flew there. They had these security guys who question you before you go in and they gave me hell because I had Jordanian and Egyptian stamps in my passport. And this was in late 2010 before any of this Arab Spring stuff began. Did they give you a lot of trouble for the Lebanese and Syrian stamps? Also, did you need a visa in advance for Syria? I’ve tried calling the embassy here in Canada but cannot get any reliable info out of them. Great post again!

For a guy that’s been all around the world, and with all the terrible things you’ve seen around the world (+ you’ve probably been to countries that have had ACTUAL apartheid within their borders, read up on it) you reserve your most one sided, political and pointed criticism for Israelis? Really dude? Talk about drawing the bulls-eye around the arrow.

Not to mention, Israel is one of the few countries in the region that wouldn’t have you castrated for what you do.

    • Naughty Nomad February 7, 2012 at 6:48 pm #

      Yep.
For all my travels, I’ve never witnessed that type of segregation..
No country competes when it come to violations in UN resolutions and international law.
      I’m a humanist, sue me.

  6. Sid February 7, 2012 at 9:17 pm #

Israel was disappointing for me, and I went in with already mixed feelings about who they are. Of all the people I’ve met, Israelis had the smallest degree of empathy and sensitivity towards other people. They’re not just rude and bickering to outsiders, but also to each other. I live in America, and the idealized view of the country a lot of Americans have is ridiculous once you’ve seen the reality.

I was pretty pissed off about how they stamped my passport without first asking my permission, so I’ll need to get a new one if I want to go to a host of Muslim countries again. I hope they left your passport in Peace, Nomad!

    Enjoyed the photos!

Nice siege you had going there. I reckon you should get on that flight to cape verde. It could have huge potential and i cant find any solid guides on it anywhere.

  9. Ben February 8, 2012 at 9:30 pm #

I liked Israel. They’re the only fuckers in the world who have the balls to bitch slap the Muslims into place and not cower before them. Bunch of legends in my opinion. They also have some incredible women. I was only there for 24 hours and never pulled one tbh but still, they are smokin!

  10. turner February 9, 2012 at 9:43 pm #

I loved Jordan. Amazing Desert and Petra is worth the hype. But the women situation in the middle east (minus Israel) is a tough one. The dudes there cockblock tough too.

Keep it up bro. Been following along since we met in Macedonia and Croatia couple years back.

    Argh.

Nomad, from what I’ve read I’m assuming you just stuck to Damascus when you visited ash-Sham, no venturing into places like Homs for starters. I’ll tell you one thing, things aren’t always what they seem to be.

Anyways fuck the politics, props to you if you screwed in Jerusalem. Must have made a wonderful setting. I get the impression that the security and the dudes at border crossing will give you even more shit if you’re a lone traveler.

  12. Christian February 14, 2012 at 9:03 pm #

Israeli is amazing, you should have gone to Tel Aviv, most amazing nightlife ever… not to mention all the history spots and the incredible chicks.
You are obviously very biased against Israel, don’t know why, check the history, those territories were taken from Jordan when Jordan attacked Israel in 67 and the Jordanian now don’t want them back. So no occupation.
And if already go to politics it is funny you don’t mention the Syrian government killing tens of thousands of their own people…

    • Naughty Nomad February 14, 2012 at 9:44 pm #

@Christian: Any person of reason would be bias. I know the history in depth. Under International law it IS an occupation. The 91 Oslo accords have not been honored. Didn’t get to go to Tel Aviv, but I’ll check it out for sure.

      • Dan January 20, 2016 at 12:23 am #

Late to the party here, but you surely missed out on Tel Aviv. Also, please tell me when there was a Palestinian state. Who were its leaders? Capital? Currency? Jordan controlled it before Israel, and the ottomans for centuries before. Any reasonable person would see that. Last, they slaughtered Jews in hebron and in that land whether there were settlements or not. I know you Irish get some super biased news.

  13. Christian February 15, 2012 at 8:33 am #

    International law = UN.
The UN decisions are per majority, obviously when you have ~50 Muslim countries and many others 3rd world countries with no relation between them to human rights- you will have majority against Israel the only one Jewish state.
It is not surprising that the US and the whole western world don’t take the UN decisions seriously.
You know I was a permanent and quite reader on your site and must say your opinion surprised me very much, as a world traveler I expected you can see the truth and support the western liberal world and not cruel dictators or terrorists.

    • Naughty Nomad February 15, 2012 at 12:08 pm #

      @Christian: “International Law = UN.”
      I’m afraid that’s incorrect.

Under international law, statehood is clearly defined under the Montevideo accords: A permanent population, defined territory, an able government and the ability to enter into international relations.

A caveat to this: collective recognition of a state make compensate an otherwise imperfect fulfilment of the criteria (ie. Palestine), similarly, lack for recognition can invalidate fulfilment of the criteria (ie. Transnistria).

Statehood defined by UN membership however, is simply via a majority vote in the general assembly – pending a recommendation by the Security Council, of which 5 permanent members (China, U.S, U.K, France & Russia) have a veto (that’s why Kosovo, Taiwan and Palestine are not members).

Under intentional law, peremptory norms or jus cogens are universal, not voted on, and all states are accountable.

It is an occupation, plain and simple.

I support Israel’s right to exist. Hell, having suffered the Arab-Isreali wars – gift them the ’67 borders – halfing Palestinian territory. Between that and the holocaust, nobody has had a darker history than the Jewish people.

But in the 21st century, that does not give anyone the right to demolish homes, exile populations, use dis-proportionate force on civilian populations, restrict movement, build illegal walls to segregate communities outside their own territory, torture, raid boats in international waters, detain people with charge, ethnically discriminate, and violate more UN resolutions than every country on earth – especially in a liberal democracy. You mentioned you don’t like terrorists, right?

There is no bias when it comes to human rights – you either support them or you don’t.
Unfortunately, there is nobody to enforce international law. Until that day comes, there will be little justice for oppressed peoples.

Yes, I am a world traveller. I’ve been to over 40 % of the planet and seen wars and uprisings. I’m also happen to be studying a masters in international relations. I don’t what “truth” you are seeing.

      Viva Palestine!

Or fuck it – let’s just kill the dogs and let the chosen people reign.
      Praise almighty Yahwey!

  14. Odds February 15, 2012 at 1:59 pm #

Israel has to demolish homes, build walls, ethnically discriminate, detain pepole, restrict population, and keep the Palestinians from illegally entering Israel because the Jewish birth rate is much lower than the Muslim/Palestinian birth rate.

Israel has to fight for its future today. The future belongs to those who show up and if Israel lets muslims walk all over their country, Israel’s demographics will look completely different in a generation.

It’s like what is happening to the Boers, Afrikaners, and White South Africans in South Africa. They gave up their country to the blacks and now the White South Africans are facing genocide and violence.

    • dewey October 20, 2015 at 5:58 pm #

“It’s like what is happening to the Boers, Afrikaners, and White South Africans in South Africa. They gave up their country to the blacks and now the White South Africans are facing genocide and violence.”

Yep, good job comparing Israel to that previous best example of apartheid!

  15. Grant February 15, 2012 at 11:11 pm #

    >>Between that and the holocaust, nobody has had a darker history than the Jewish people.

LOL only Non-jews still believe in holocaust mythology http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3F5bPE0N4A&feature=player_embedded#!

  16. Moses February 15, 2012 at 11:46 pm #

    Fuck you.

God gave the holy land to the Jews. The muslims have so much land and we can’t even have one little piece?

The Palestinians are animals who bomb our neighbourhoods. they are rabid dogs that need to be put down. I hope we drop a bomb on the terrorists in gaza and kill the children so they cannot breed. How can you support the islam tht preaches hate and want to kill all jews?

anyway it’s doesnt matter what you, the UN or international law think! what is palestine – nothing. what can you do? We have the best army in the world and america is our ally. Try and stop us. We will take what rightfully belongs to the JEWISH people.

    • Dewey October 20, 2015 at 6:00 pm #

      No, please, fuck you.

  17. Christian February 16, 2012 at 12:27 pm #

” demolish homes, exile populations, use dis-proportionate force on civilian populations, restrict movement, build illegal walls to segregate communities outside their own territory, torture, raid boats in international waters, detain people with charge, ethnically discriminate, and violate more UN resolutions than every country on earth”

This is mostly propaganda and bullshit similar to Nazi publications before the holocaust.
Some actions like restricted movement are required for the safety of the people, if Israel don’t allow Palestinians to enter Tel Aviv is because all the terror and bombs they did in the past. Any country would do it, most countries would do even more.
I am now living in America but originally German, any of those democratic and liberal countries would act much more aggressive if enemies will send rockets on their homes and send suicide bombers to their shopping malls killing even babies.

Israel has the most moral army in the whole world- fact. And maybe that
is the reason why the Arabs take advantage of it.

Unlike Arab leaders like Assad, Kadafi, Ahmenijad who will kill any person showing just a bit of rebellion.
It is funny that you do not responds to my comments about Arab countries.

    • Naughty Nomad February 16, 2012 at 4:46 pm #

@Moses: No comment, you’re just an idiot.

@Christian: You can’t use relativism to argue ethics. If you’re comparing Israeli government to Arab dictators you’re not off to a good start anyway. You also said:

“Israel has the most moral army in the whole world.”

      Dude, are you serious?

      War on Gaza in 2008:

13 Isreali soliders dead vs 1,300 Palestinians dead – nearly a third of which were women and children.

Moral? – by Nazi standards maybe.

  18. Christian February 16, 2012 at 8:18 pm #

Fact: Reason for this operation was many years of rockets bombing from Gaza to Israel with no provocation from Israel. If no rockets were shoot then there was no operation and everybody could live in peace.
Israel tolerate many years of rockets- most than any other country in the would would tolerate. This is more than morality it is even stupidity. They should have responds immediately.

Fact 2: Major casualties in the Gaza side was because the terrorists use women and children as human shield! what people use their own families for defense?! By any moral standard it should be the opposite.

I cant understand how someone intelligent can not see who is the bad side in this story. Maybe you are Arab or have some Arab roots?

    • Naughty Nomad February 17, 2012 at 1:10 am #

@Christian: I have no Arab roots. I’m 100% celt. Why, do you have Jewish roots?
My only roots are humanism and international law. It’s the only universal morality. What is your morality based on?

      I take your point.

But understand Gaza is effectively the world’s largest open air prison. The air, the sea and the borders are strictly controlled by Israel. They say what and who goes in and out. They restrict inflows of cement, medical supplies and even toys.

People in Gaza are not bad. They never asked to be put in those conditions.

I don’t condone violence. I don’t condone firing rockets. But if you grew up encaged like that with your liberty restricted, would you be angry?

Israelis are not bad either. Some have a Zionist paradigm enforced by conscription, religious and tribal indoctrination.

What is bad, not matter what race/creed/colour you are, is state discrimination. It happened in Northern Ireland with Catholics, South Africa with blacks, and now Israel with the Palestinians.

Have you been to the Gaza or the West bank? I’m guessing not – because the occupation is very visible. Arabs walk around in the shadows of Israelis soldiers. There’s roadblocks and checkpoints everywhere. Jewish-Israelis citizens have different rights and entitlements Arab-Israeli citizens.

      It’s modern Apartheid.

  19. Christian February 18, 2012 at 5:20 am #

Well I surely have been there, also in the territories and have great friends from Israel, and after I was there I even think the Israelis are too gentle, like they afraid of what the world would say rather taking care of their own people.

Roadblocks and checkpoint are a must! without them the terror would be back in Israeli shopping malls and kinder gardens.
What you may don’t know or refuse to understand is that Israel already accept in the past to go back to 67′ borders, but during that process they got a brutal barbaric terror with suicide bombers. So they have no choice but to check every Arab in road blocks.

You see the majority of the Palestinians (not only Hamas) do not agree for any Israeli state, they what all the land, not just the 67 territories (which anyone was never Palestinians) and to exterminate Israel – this is by their public announcements.

Few more facts for you as it seems you have been fed by false propaganda:
    1. Israeli supply to Gaza (And west bank) – Electricity, water, gasoline, medical supplies, food and any mandatory equipment. The blockade is only to stop smuggling of weapon, ammunition and terrorists.
    2. This is not discrimination, Israel do not control the Palestinian cities but as with enemies they have to check people moving, again for security purposes.
Tell me why in any airport there are security checks?
Why police can stop suspicious person and question him? It is the same, if you face threat you should be cautious.
    3. “White Israeli soldiers” – It seems that you have not been much in Israel or else you would know that more than 50% of Israelis have middle eastern ethnics, some even African black.
    4. The Palestinian are probably the most free Arabs in the world, the only Arab people who grew up in a democracy. Did you know that in the Israeli parliament there 3 Arab parties?

I hope you are open minded and drill down into facts and the truth, it seems all your knowledge is biased and came from anti Israeli source. (Part of the media is also like that, like BBC)

    • Naughty Nomad February 18, 2012 at 4:22 pm #

@Christain@ “Israel accept the 67 borders.”

      Are you kidding me?

Then why are they demolishing homes and building settlements within the West Bank? – Sounds like your Isreali friends are feeding you propaganda.

This is not the opinion I heard in Jerusalem off Israelis. During birthright, Jewish friends of mine said their official guides consider the West Bank part of Israel. They even showed me the official business cards with a map of “Greater Israel” on the back.

Your “great friends” from Israel have clouded your judgement.

I certainly don’t agree with Hamas either, and believe their leaders should also be subject to international law and held accountable for human rights abuses. But Israeli repression garnered support for Hamas. If you subject a population to such appalling conditions as those in Gaza – are you surprised extremists take power?

      To address your points:

      1. Water, food, electricity – how nice of them, they do this in other prisons too. What has stopping inflows cement and toys got to do with arms?

      2. What is the security threat of a Palestinian going from one Palestinian city to another? The don’t even let the Palestinian soccer team assemble.

      3. I never said otherwise, but that’s a fair point.

      4. “Palestinians are most the free Arabs in the world.” I’ll give you credit and assume you mean the ones that have Israeli citizenship, because that’s certainly not the case in the occupied territories. Either way, you are incorrect. European and American Arabs are “freer” in many senses. Try travelling around on an Israeli passport are see how free you are.

You ask me to talk about facts:
      1. The occupation is a fact under International law.
      2. Settlements ARE being built in violation 67 borders.

I have some personal questions for you if this debate is to continue.

      Do you deny these facts?

Do you support the ’67 borders?

      Do you support international Law?

Do you support the UN charter on Human rights?

  20. Christian February 22, 2012 at 11:00 am #

Israel actually demolish more houses of Israeli settlers than Arab ones.
You see anyone who build without permission his house could be demolished, same as if you just go to rural Ireland and build a house there without buying the land and no papers.

Right wing Jewish as you probably met in Jerusalem consider all the biblical Israeli land as Israel. I can see their point as it was the last and only independent state in this area since 2000 years. There was never in history Palestinian state.
Most of the Arabs there are descendant of nomadic tribes that mostly came there in the 20th century after the start of Zionism and Jewish migration back to the holy land of Israel.
At that period because of the Jewish migration there was an economic boom which attracted nearby Arabs to come and settle in the area.

I welcome you to read the book “The Innocents abroad” of the famous American writer Marc Twain who visited Israel in 1867 and saw: “Abandoned, sick, poor and primitive”

    http://www.amazon.com/Innocents-Abroad-Mark-Twain/dp/1619492350/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1329905676&sr=1-3-fkmr0

Personally I do not deny this facts but I believe they come from political perspective as of majority of Muslim countries in UN and dependent of the Arab oil for many none Arab countries.
The international law is wrong in my opinion and obeying it would be to extinct Israel.

I do not agree with 67′ borders, I believe Israel should withdrew from the cities as it did but as Palestinians are militants it would be suicide to retreat to 67′ borders. If there were Swiss peaceful people there I would agree with 67′ borders.

I do support the UN charter on human right and believe who ever violate it should come to justice, many Arab regime are cruel and respect no human right, they are the first in the line. Assad specifically, he is worse than Gadafi.

    • Naughty Nomad February 22, 2012 at 11:35 am #

@Christian: Well if you don’t agree with the ’67 borders, then I guess our debate pretty much mirrors the conflict and has reached a dead end.

You see the Palestinian people as militants, I see them as an oppressed people. Fortunately for me, the international community and most of the world agrees with the latter.

I think we both made good points, but lets agree to disagree.

Ultimately, I hope justice is done and International Law prevails.

  21. polishhammer March 1, 2012 at 2:26 pm #

I gotta agree with NN, I am American and have had many jewish friends go over on what’s called the birth right ( free trip ) to israel. They have all came back and strongly felt they needed to enlist in the IDF. It makes you wonder about brainwashing. Aside from that, my impression of Isrealis abroad is that they act like dickholes. The women are babes, but apartheid is still apartheid.

    peace and love.

  22. Mr. Truth April 15, 2012 at 2:33 pm #

And then I felt more is needed to be said so I added this:

“By the way, I don’t need my government or anyone else to tell me I’m a victim. I can tell it myself when I’m seating at my university classroom and all of a sudden have to run for cover of missiles falling on the university’s city (no, not an army base!); I can tell it myself when I have to think twice before getting on public bus or train afraid of being bomb to pieces; I can tell it myself when my family want to gather for dinner in a restaurant and have to consider if it’s worth the risk of “putting all the eggs in one basket”, meaning to have us all gone together at once.

Well, we don’t have to fear most of those stuff anymore, at least not as we use to fear of them only few years ago. That is because we protected ourselves from those who seek to harm us. I guess It is count as a “war crime” for self-righteous, hypocrite, double standard ignorant like you.

For people like you any national sentiment is legit, as long as it is not an Israeli national sentiment. In your world the Palestinians can carry on despicable terrorist attacks in the name of their nationalistic purpose (which is not having a sovereign state of their own, it is to eliminate the state of Israel), but the Israelis can not protect themselves in the name of the willing to live. Israel protects its own citizens like no other state have ever done before or since: The IDF literally risking Israeli soldiers and Israeli civilians by taking actions intent of trying not to endanger unarmed Palestinian civilians. Other countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France and many other, who send troops to Afghanistan, thousands of kilometers away of their homelands (not fighting near their home like Israel), never done half to protect civilians of being victims to fighting than what Israel doing daily.”

  23. Jack November 1, 2012 at 4:45 pm #

Regarding Israeli girls. I’m originally from Israel. In Tel Aviv the girls are worse in their approach even than Jerusalem. They all think they deserve a millionaire male model who will be nasty and will play games with them 24 7. The only place you see this attitude is Paris and at least in Paris the girls look good. In Israel 95% of the girls don’t look good.
Most of the new Russian girls learnt how to behave from Israeli girls.
Regarding the Arabs: anybody saying we treat them wrong is living out of reality. We let them into our university although they scam their exams in their villages. They get 100% in their village and very low scores in a test that they do at the university. Haifa university and the Technion has 80% arabs in Medicine and Law. same for Jerusalem in Pharmacology. Those people (the Muslims not the Christians) burn the Israeli flag inside the campus and say they do not recognize the country of Israel. They also get scholarships on minority basis. I wonder if in America or Ireland it could work the same?
To be honest with you, the Irish girls are quite open especially when they drink but I lived in your country (Dublin) and the men and the general people were as aggressive as the Israelis and totally dislike foreigner people (and I look like a Nordic person). I found a lot of similarities between the two nations! They can do jokes but when somebody jokes with them it doesn’t work. They got no manners and no patience and they push. Totally unfriendly only smile as an outside show. It wasn’t just my impression, It was also impression of Norwegians, Americans, Italians and other people that were living there. Totally different than what I saw in England and Scotland for example, where you find such soft polite individiuals. You do get aggressive girls also in Ireland. especially in that shitty country Waterford! I must say that Kilkenny and Claire are unique in that country and have very nice people.

    • Naughty Nomad November 2, 2012 at 7:21 am #

@Jack: I agree with you on Irish girls. They spit venom and are quite zenophobic. They are indeed nicer down the country where you are talking about.

  24. Moshe November 18, 2012 at 6:49 am #

    Noamd,

You got your political view messed up with your girl scoring review.

Fact is that arabs were given their 20ish country in ’47 which was much bigger than Israel and they refuse to accept it and launched a massive attack by all neighboring countries not in an effort to erect “Palestine” but rather to extend their territories (Syria, Jordan and Egypt)

Fact is that west bank is part of Israel and was liberated in 67 war after 5 armies were assembled to destroy Israel.

Fact is that if you have a Jordanian or Lebanese stamp in your passport you may face questioning in the border (think same situation in US border with someone having stamps from Iran, Pakistan, Afganistan and Yemen) – but if you try to enter the Lebanese border with Israeli stamp, the Hizballoah will probably take you for a walk.

I think you come to Israel narrow minded, bigot, racist, arrogant and opinionated and Jerusalem girls saw right through you and sent you home with no action and now you are sooo pissed about it.

Try telling a muslim girl in Lebanon or in Jordan that you are Jewish and support Israel and she will be the last girl you will ever see..

Moshe (a Israeli Nomad that set flag in many countries and think differently)

    • Naughty Nomad November 19, 2012 at 4:15 pm #

“West bank is part of Israel and was liberated in 67.” Holy crap. That’s really scary. If there is any objective readers out there, just digest that statement and make your own mind up.

By the way, I already have my Israeli flag. She had a bullet as a necklace.

With the proper equipment and ingredients, you can make homemade pizza that tastes a thousand times better than what you’ll find at your favorite restaurant. You have to shake over the paddle of the openhandedly by taking usage of the corn meal & then you have to place pizza bread on the paddle ahead of mixing toppings into it. It didn’t help that
every pizza recipe I saw online would mention the dreaded “bread machine.

Bahaha, really, defending Israel? Everyone and their mother knows that Israel has definitely imposed apartheid upon the Palestinian territories. Plus, Arabs are semitic peoples, therefore NN cannot be anti-semitic if he likes Arabs. It is a fact that the Israeli government becomes more right wing as time passes, some even advocating for the removal of Arabs from all of Palestine. Furthermore, it is false that no Arabs lived in Israel before the Jews came from all over. Many Jews never left, and were Arabs (as most Jews originally) while the European jews that came in from Europe had been there for hundreds or thousands of years. The Bible or Torah is NOT A LEGAL CLAIM to the land, as neither is the Qur’an. The Jews were able to settle in Israel thanks to British backing, sometimes by force. In other words, the Zionists were colonists. The argument about Arab dictators and the holocaust have no foundation in this argument. By 1919, there were 700,000 Palestinian Arabs in the area.

Even David Ben-Gurion recognized that the Zionists were the aggressors, and the Arabs were merely protecting themselves (look it up, I am not lying).

I know it is unrealistic to return all land to Palestine. I believe that Palestine should be granted full independence and sovereignty TODAY according to 1967 borders. THAT is the way that the wounds caused by this conflict can begin to heal. HAMAS will die off on its own eventually if this is done. With the establishment of Palestine, the extremist groups will be exposed to the Arab population for what they really are.

And please cease with the god argument. GOD ISN’T REAL
