Overview

Stari Grad (old town) makes Sarajevo one of the most endearing and unique capitals in Eastern Europe. The Islamic and Ottoman influence is also very visible and adds an exciting dynamic to the city.  You will find more hijabs here than anywhere else on Continental Europe. The ethnic mix is refreshing and the night life is hopping on the weekends.

The Girls

Miss Bosnia, Sanja Tunjic

Muslims, Croats & Serbs represent the ethnic make up of the city.  The general standard of women is not quite as impressive as in let’s say, Croatia or Serbia, but this is Eastern Europe, so the standard is still relatively high. Some of the darker Muslim girls can be especially gorgeous. Looks aside, Bosnians tend to be much more friendlier than their neighbours. This is in part due to lack of tourism and part due to travel restrictions. Westerners can expect girls to have good English and be quite receptive, even shy once you start speaking with them. Day game and pipelining is highly recommended, as many nightspots have unfavourable sex ratios in the region of 60/40. One night stands happen, but are not as commonplace as in surrounding countries. For more beautiful Bosnian babes click here.

Nightlife Recommendations

At night, the hijabs come off and the freaks come out. Sarajevo is rockin’, even  hectic on weekends. With so many options, I would need to return to justify a full breakdown. These recommendations are subjective. Personally, I’d prefer Sarajevo on during weekdays as most places on the weekend are too packed.  All the below recommendations are within walking distance from Stari Grad.

City Pub

A good pre-club choice with plenty of people. Busy, but not so packed to prevent starting a giant conga line.  Outside is fantastic for approaching girls. 3 of our group closed in this place.

Havana

You will more than likely end up here a some stage. This place is much better during weekdays with a more chilled out vibe and live music. On the weekends it’s too loud and overcrowded with cock.

Pirate Pub

This bar and the bar beside it were great craic. Granted, we were dressed as pirates so we got a sterling reception. Avoid Pirate pub on Saturday, it’s fucking mental. The bar beside it on the other hand had the perfect capacity for a Saturday.

*Another source recommends Sloga rock club.

My Sarajevo Experience

I was here for a weekend with 3 other amigos during the Siege of the Adriatic. Every single one of us hooked up in one form or another. However, none of  the girls in question were locals. I was very naughty and pulled a sexy Argentine right behind her boyfriend’s back. We all loved the city and I hope to return. I imagine this place would be very romantic in the wintertime snow.

Snapshot: Dubrovnik, Croatia

Posted in City Guides, Croatia on October 22nd, 2010 by Naughty Nomad

Snapshots are mini town/city guides for smaller places or cities I have only experienced briefly. Here’s a little snapshot of Dubrovnik.

Main Street in Old Town

What are one’s first impressions of Dubrovnik?

Overcrowded, overpriced and over-rated. Even in mid September, the place was chock-a-block with festering tourists. Don’t get me wrong – it’s very, very pretty, but after Montenegro this place is quite underwhelming. Everybody raves about this medieval masterpiece, and if it was my first stop on an Adriatic excursion I would too, but compared to the rest of Balkans the locals are unfriendly pricks, it’s fucking expensive and unless you are here in peak season the night-life isn’t up to much either.  Worth a look though… I guess.

What are the women like?

Similar to Montenegrins, Croatian girls are tall and dress very well. “If you’ve got it, flaunt it” is a statement very much endorsed. In general though, Croatians can be quite dour and are not nearly as friendly as many of their Balkan and Mediterranean counterparts. This is more so in Dubrovnik than other parts of the country. Tourists are in abundance and you are about as exotic as a Mars bar. In all likelihood you will probably end up pulling a tourist. Northern Croatia is much better if you want a local.

Where should I go at night-time?

I can only speak from my experience, which was in the latter end of September. In the two nights me and my friends spent here we went to pretty much every bar that was open. The Gaffe, an Irish pub, is a great spot with reasonably priced pints too (€3.50). The side streets off the main street in the old town host many little watering holes as well. At the end of the night, everybody ends up in Fuego nightclub. It’s shit, but enjoy it because it’s the only option outside of the June-August window.

Any other recommendations?

A walk around the city walls is decent enough. In this authors opinion, 2 days/1 night in Dubrovnik is enough. Spent the money and shell out for a place near the old town, something we regretted not doing. At €4 for a shitty little 250ml bottle of beer in many bars, get a few into you back home before you go out.

The Bottom Line

Worth a gander, but not a patch on Montenegro.

Budva City Guide

Posted in City Guides, Montenegro on October 19th, 2010 by Naughty Nomad

Inside Old Town

Budva in a word: Adorable.

Chance of Hooking up: 3.5 / 5
Quality of Girls: 4 / 5
Smoking tolerance level: 3.5 / 5
City guide ratings explained

Costs €$£

Beer: €3 for a 330ml bottle.
Bed: €15 for a private room.
Bud: €5-10 a gram (Serb prices)
Board: €5 for a pizza.
Budget other: You will be charged €5-€20 a day for a sun bed and the beach is stony. Also, food and drink at the beach is very expensive, bring your own supplies.
Currency Conversion

Overview

Budva is the party capital of Montenegro. Sexy girls from all over Eastern Europe and Russia come to party here for sun and fun. Not only is this place rockin’, the old town is utterly adorable. It’s easy to fall in love with it’s  narrow cobblestone streets and quaint town squares. Between here and Kotor, I rate Montenegro the most charming spot in Eastern Europe. That said, I must give you guys a stern warning:

DO NOT COME HERE DURING LOW SEASON. Cue tumble weed.

The Girls

Typical local talent

Get ready for hormonal overload. First you got the Russians, Ukrainian, Polish & Balkan babes on holiday, then you got models and trophy WAGS imported from the yachts of rich playboys. I mean seriously? As for the locals, Montenegrins are quite similar to Serbs. Coming from Albania, you will notice a lot more blondes and lighter shades. They are quite tall and tend to dress more stylish. They look hostile, but that’s just their designer sunglasses and a Balkan bitch shield. Get behind that and you’ll find the locals girls are really open and sweet. Online game is limited, purely because of the small population of the country. In truth, Budva is probably not the best place to get your flag, unless you commit your self to day game, picking up waitresses, shop girls etc. Go to the capital Podgorica or Tivat (beside Kotor) if you really want to have the local experience. To get a glimpse of more local talent, click here.

Nightlife Recommendations

Budva’s night-life is polemic for a such condensed area. After hours the old town bars wind down and people head to the clubs just outside the city walls. My best advice, avoid Sparta. It’s a fucking shit-hole. That said, Budva has some fantastic places to go out…

Trocaderos

This open air club is the main party place in Budva. Expect plenty of pumpin’ tunes and nubile talent. This place is rockin’ till 5am.  Need I say more? You need to check this place out. But in my opinion, it’s not a patch on…

Haciendas!

This is my kind of place! It may not have the reputation of Trocaderos but this is one my favourite spots in the whole of Eastern Europe. It looks like a hybrid of a Caribbean cocktail bar, a tree house and an Arabic opium den. Expect hammocks, hookahs and hip shakin’ EE girls dancing to a live salsa band. When this place has a bit of a crowd, it’s unbeatable. A great place to meet women.
;)

Getting High

No info available. You will have to bring your own in from Belgrade, Croatia or even better, Macedonia.

My Budva Experience

I was here for 2 nights with 3 friends and loved it. However, it was the tail end of the season so it was really subdued (mid-September). One night we made a big mistake and ended up in Sparta. It was a sausage-fest and the bouncers prevented you leaving your table to talk to girls.. WTF? The last night we discovered Haciendas. It blew my mind and I had one the best nights of my holiday. I ended up dancing with an Israeli/Belarusian girl and bringing her home for a marathon sex session.  A new flag aside, it was an amazing night that expanded my sexual frontiers.  I also met up with a local Montenegrin girl in Kotor the next day, but that’s another story.. Bottom line – I’d go back to Budva in a heartbeat, but I’d return when there’s a few more people around (June – August).

Tirana City Guide

Posted in Albania, City Guides on October 17th, 2010 by Naughty Nomad

Tirana's main square

Tirana in a word: Meh.

Chance of Hooking up: 2.5 / 5
Quality of Girls: 3.5 / 5
Smoking tolerance level: 3 / 5
City guide ratings explained

Costs €$£

Beer: Around €2 for a 500ml bottle.
Bed: €16 for a private room.
Bud: €5 a gram
Board: €3 for a meal.
Budget other: Taxi drivers may try and rape you.
Currency Conversion

Overview

Tirana isn’t lacking in character, but it is slightly lacking in atmosphere. The locals are indifferent towards tourists, and rather hostile towards guys dressed as Mexican Pirates. They may be one of the only Islamic countries in Europe, but they are as liberal as any other country in the Balkans. We even saw some lady boys hanging outside the city mosque.

The Girls

Eralda Hitaj

Albanians are slightly more distinctive than other ethnic groups in the region and come from an ancient European group known as the llyrians. They have dark Mediterranean features, unlike many other Balkan women. Their skin is not quite as light as their neighbours in the north and west, but not quite as dark as the Greeks. Most girls are brunettes and the Ottoman influence is visible. Personally, I find the Albanian look quite alluring. English is not quite as prevalent here, but most young women have a decent grasp of it. The city is not exactly on the tourist trail, so hitting the ground cold and running day and night game here is quite effective as you are considered “exotic”. Be warned, public displays of affections are not as common in Albania as other Balkan countries, so isolate. If you want to check out some sexy Albanian girls click here.

Nightlife Recommendations

Nearly all of Tirana’s night-life centres around Blloku or “The Block”. The place is perfect for a pub crawl. We managed to hit nearly every happening spot, except for the upper-class joint known as Living Room, which apparently is worth checking out. Here is breakdown of some other cool spots in the area. What I like about Tirana is the amount of rock venues…

Radio Bar

One of Tirana’s cooler bars. Filled with students and others on most nights, it’s a relaxed place to listen to chilled music and chat, a good environment for meeting girls.

Alfa Bar

Live music and rock chicks. Opens till late. It can get a bit packed and loud, but there is some talent about.

Lizard

Great party place with live music. A good place to dance and mingle. A good  place to pick up if there’s a crowd. This place was probably the most fun out of the lot.

Mumja

I don’t usually recommend these kind of nightclubs, but the best looking girls in the city come here. I pulled here, so there’s no reason why you can’t. Just start speaking English! haha

Getting High

Not much info I’m afraid. Get into local social circles, especially rockers. Try Alfa bar. Expect to pay €5 a gram.

My Tirana Experience

I was here for 2 nights with 3 friends. I was the only one of my mates who had any success with the locals, a testament to the COH rating, especially when you compare Tirana with cities in neighbouring countries. Thursday we started off in Mumja. I hit on a smoking hot girl in front of her friends and she casually brushed me aside. Later, she followed my to the bathroom, snogged the face off me, then left. WTF? I never saw her again. We bounced, but found the rest of the venues were pretty uninspiring on Thursdays. Friday night I had a date with a really sexy girl I met online. We hit it off and spent the whole evening together chatting, kissing and having a good time with our friends in Alfa bar. Didn’t have time in the city for a day 2. Guess I’ll have to back…

All in all, Tirana’s night-life was slightly disappointing. The people are lukewarm and it’s not a place you would miss too much. That said, the girls are hot so check it out!

Life Update: Back to Africa…

Posted in Africa, Travel on October 15th, 2010 by Naughty Nomad

ANNOUNCEMENT: I’ve just booked my flight to the Gambia in West Africa. I’m leaving in March with two friends. The plan is to spend three months travelling  to the following  12 countries:

West Africa

  • The Gambia
  • Senegal
  • Guinea Bissau
  • Guinea
  • Sierra Leone
  • Liberia
  • Cote d’Ivoire
  • Burkina Faso
  • Ghana
  • Benin
  • Togo
  • Nigeria

T’will be chaos of the highest degree. Latin America is next on the list, but for now… Africa beckons. If it is anything like Cairo to Cape town, we’re in for the trip of a life time. Where we’re going, the women will fall at our knees; whole cities will be our sexual playgrounds and we shall be treated as kings. Furthermore, our travels in West Africa will probably be undertaken in absurd costumes, probably Leprechaun Pirates or something…  As for the preparations, I’ve already got a head start. I’m currently dating 2 beautiful 18 year old West African women, a Cameroonian and a Nigerian, serving as delightful appetizers for a main course of rack of booty.  I’m also starting French lessons and busy investigating visas.

My mood is a cocktail of nerves and excitement, I must be going back to Africa…

Snapshot: Athens, Greece

Posted in City Guides, Greece on October 12th, 2010 by Naughty Nomad

Snapshots are mini town/city guides for smaller places or cities I have only experienced briefly. Here’s a little snapshot of Athens.

They don't even renovate their buildings... fuck sake.

What are one’s first impressions of Athens?

The first thing one notices about Athens is the women. They are drop dead gorgeous.  In this authors opinion, the Greek girls give other Mediterranean women a run for their money and have superior genes.  The second thing you notice is Athens – it’s fucking expensive. I’m talking in excess of €6 for a drink. WTF? Isn’t this country bankrupt? I’m supporting their economy by just showing up, the least they could do is pour me a fucking pint for under a fiver.

What are the women like?

Super sexy but slightly up their own ass, especially when you compare them to their counterparts in Thessaloniki up north.

Where should I go at night time?

We went to Gazi – a big square with tons of night spots. It’s about one hours drunken stumble from the main tourist area near the Acropolis. Lots of choice but a bit pretentious, if I was to return I would check out Psirri. In Gazi, the best strip is a street called Triptolemou. Avoid Tapas bar unless you like penis in your ass. There is a cool bar adjacent to Cabana 41 but I can’t remember the name… pity we got kicked out for climbing on the roof to perform the YMCA dressed as Mexican Pirates. Security didn’t seem to see the funny side of it…

Any other recommendations?

Screw pricey beers, just buy cans in the kiosks and drink on Triptolemou street, there are plenty of people and it’s great for approaching girls.

The Bottom Line

Fuck Athens. See the Acropolis and go to Thessonlinki, it’s a lot more fun in my opinion and a great place to get your Greek flag.

Pristina (Kosovo) City Guide

Posted in City Guides, Kosovo on October 9th, 2010 by Naughty Nomad

Newborn, City Centre

Pristina in a word: Neglected.

Chance of Hooking up: 2.5 / 5
Quality of Girls: 3.5 / 5
Smoking tolerance level: 3.5 / 5

City guide ratings explained

Costs €$£

Beer: Around  €1.50 – 2 for a pint.
Bed: €20 for a private room.
Bud: ~ €10 per gram (get it in Macedonia).
Board: €1 for a kebab.
Budget other: Nightclub entry is cheap at around €3.

Currency Conversion

Overview

Pristina (or Prishtina) is not a pretty city, it’s neglected in more ways than one. It’s has a run down feel to it and nobody travels here. This is a good thing. The lack of visitors means it’s cheap as chips and the locals are super friendly. However, at the time of writing, the government were cracking down on drinking establishments left, right and centre for “tax reasons”.  As a result, the night-life situation is constantly changing.

The Girls

Shkurte Ajeti

Understand, over 90% of Kosovars are ethnically Albanian. Brunettes rule the roost, but you can find more green/blue eyes and blondes here than in Albania. The standard is pretty good, with the odd  mesmerizing stunner. Overall, they have decent figures and a good balance of soft facial features with solid bone structure. If you want to score here, there are some thing you need to know. Firstly, they are also really keen to fraternize with foreign men, but at the same time they worry about being “the talk of the village” if they hook up, so discretion and isolation is appreciated.  Secondly, and most importantly, if you are serious about pulling you need to use day game. The night-life is heavily male orientated and many venues are 90% cock. All the beautiful women you see during the day seem to vanish into the ether. During the day, put yourself out there and get chatting. Newborn shopping centre is a good place to start. As soon as you start speaking English you will get IOIs. Number close. The rest is up to you, be a man.

Nightlife Recommendations

Much of the night life is restricted to the weekends. At the time of writing, popular venues Soul and Depot were closed for tax reasons. Avoid ‘First club’, it’s awful. The following two places were shown to us by some local girls who knew the scene.

Castros

A wee bit high brow, but one can’t deny this cuban-themed place has a buzz about it. A good crowd can be found hanging out around on a Saturday, well worth a look. Great place to run game. It closes at 1.

Maroon Pub

This is probably the best after hours spot in the city. It resembles a giant house party and the sex ratio is actually pretty decent. The reason for this is its strict face control. Look sharp and try to have a girl on your arm. Once you’re in, it’s pretty conductive for approaching and picking up.

Getting High

Legislation: Possession of the herb and smoking it is illegal, but you will find they are pretty tolerant to its use.

Law enforcement: Police are rather ignorant on this issue, they classify marijuana as just another “DRUG”, if you’re obvious they will stop you and give you a hard time.

Where to buy marijuana: Theres several dealers in Prishtina, you won’t find them on the streets, the good ones are pretty organized and you will need a local contact to help you attain the stuff. Don’t hesitate to talk to younger people in English, you will find them pretty friendly and willing to help. If you don’t know any locals, try the internet cafe owners, bartenders, and younger taxi drivers.

Marijuana prices: Prices can range from 3 euros to 20 euros per gram, depending on dealer and quality.

My Pristina Experience

I’ve been here twice, the first time I was with a girl, the second time was a Saturday night dressed as a Mexican Pirate with my crew. I kissed two girls, but didn’t have time to for a second meet-up. If I had known the night life was such an utter sausage fest, I would have run day game. During the day, the women give you a healthy amount of attention, much more so than in neighbouring countries. My love for Macedonia will surely see me dipping into this country again, the people are great!

The Seige of Pristina, LED Mexican Pirates at Newborn! ARGGHH!

Skopje City Guide

Posted in City Guides, Macedonia on October 1st, 2010 by Naughty Nomad

Old Town

Skopje in a word: Lovable.

Chance of Hooking up: 3.5 / 5
Quality of Girls: 4 / 5
Smoking tolerance level: 3.5 / 5

City guide ratings explained

Costs €$£

Beer: Around  €1.50 – 2 for a pint.
Bed: €20 for a private room.
Bud: €50 for 25 grams.
Board: €3 for a good meal.
Budget other: Go to the new age bar and shell out a few coppers for a communal Hookah and some yummy Macedonian wine, well worth it for under €15.
Currency Conversion

Overview

Admittedly, I have a soft spot for this place. Macedonia in general is one of my top 3 countries in Europe. I’ve been in Skopje twice, both in winter and summer and it just keeps growing on me. The city has plenty of character, the girls are amazing, it’s cheap and the nightlife is excellent. I see myself coming back here again and again. Enjoy this Balkan gem.

The Girls

Suzana Al-Salkini

Macedonian girls are something special. They are slim, sexy and chilled. Ethnic Macedonians are mostly brunettes but also get the typical blonde hair, blue eyed girl about. 25 % are of Albanian heritage if you like a darker, more Ottoman look. The great thing is the girls are more friendly than their Balkan neighbours in Serbia, Bulgaria and Albania. Day game and night game work equally well here and you can be fairly direct. The sex ratio is pretty decent in bars and clubs also and most girls speak English. Skopje doesn’t receive many tourists so locals are curious about foreigners. Frankly, it’s a relativity easy place to pick up quality women. If you want to see more Macedonian babes click here.

Nightlife Recommendations

I have two excellent recommendations for you guys.

New Age

From what I’ve seen, if I could bring a date to any bar in all of Europe, my first choice would be New Age. The seating areas are on cool wooden islands over a pond, covered in cushions. Inside looks like a derelict building with Arabic décor, Hookah pipes, local wine and chill-out music.  Not really a place to pick up, but the perfect pre-club bar to start your night if you are with friends. A must-see.

Club Havana

An open air fiesta with Cuban sounds, live music & cheap beer. The party vibe here is infectious and it’s wall to wall with cute girls. The clientèle are laid back and it’s really easy to approach as everyone is standing and it’s not too loud.  Arguably the best place in Skopje to pick up. Go Monday night.

Getting High

Nomad’s input : Bought 50 grams for €100 (just asked around in New Age). My friend got caught smoking a joint by the police, they let him off, didn’t  ask for money and even gave the joint back – gotta love this country!

Law enforcement: There is a special police unit called “ALFI” they drive old ventos golf 2 3 and always they roll in a pack of 3. If you get arrested with a small amount – let’s say 5 grams they may let you off easy.

Where to buy marijuana in Skopje: Best place to find weed here in skopje is just walk around find some group of kids ages 16-23 or so a lot of us smoke weed so the chance of you asking the right ones is 80%. Don’t give the money first.

Skopje marijuana prices: 2$ a gram, 230$ 1 Kilo. The prices get higher 500 denars = around 12$ for 2 grams.

My Skopje Experience

The first time I went here was in 2009 with a Norwegian girl. The locals treated us like family and wouldn’t let us pay for a thing. On my recent trip, the first night was incredible. I spent the night with a blonde bombshell I met on-line and took to New Age. The next day, the sweetheart even made me cookies, then took me on a picnic and lavished me with wine. The second night, I went to Havana and made out with three different girls, one of which I really clicked with. I also had numbers of two other girls I gamed before that night, but I didn’t even have time to see them. Needless to say, I got my flag and the next time I go back I’ll be a busy, busy boy. I love Skopje! South East Asia move over for South East Europe!
